Hello, up for sale is a rare antique circa 1930 German paper-mache Easter Egg candy container. A Hard to find one with Japanese Geisha pattern.

The egg container was a special production for one of the first Bulgarian chocolate factories - Stefan Balakchiev. The Bulgarian who is considered one of the founders of the confectionery industry in Bulgaria is Stefan Balakchiev. In 1885 he moved from Bitola to Sofia. Initially, he was engaged in ironwork, as was his father's craft. However, his wife Anastasia turns out to be a good cook and makes sweets.

She even started earning more with her homemade sweets. So Stefan abandoned his craft and built a pastry shop in his yard. He went to Vienna, where he attended cooking classes for two years. Balakchiev's business was taken over by his son.

In 1914, Anton Balakchiev took over and even diversified the range. He was the first to start producing aerochocolate. Measures: 4.33" x 3,14 ". Condition: original as is on photos, very good preserved for its age.
