She was an American exotic dancer prior to the turn of the 20th century and traveled extensively throughout the Orient. As you can see by the close up photos there are condition issues to the doll. It can be repaired, but I'll leave that up to you.
Please remember these photographs are magnified hundreds of times, and the actual damage is not as dramatic as seen in the photos. The doll does come in it's original (fascinating) box - which is either bamboo or plum wood.I don't think it's teak or else it is not likely to have the worm wood holes in the lid. In the photo's you may be able to depict some hand writing.
I can partially make it out, through the use of a magnifier, the doll came from...... And on the inside lid the date 1881.
The wigs I believe to be human hair because the strands are very fine vs. Animal hair, although they could be silk as well. The wigs are in impeccable condition. The clothing is not detachable, and is in quite good condition for it's age. There is a bell included and I'm not certain how or where it was attached.
